"The path of the lazy man is grown over with thorns, but the path of the faithful is a good road." Proverbs 15:19
I've got to tell you that this is not an area that I am good at especially since I became unemployed. I've just been getting up in the morning and sitting on my front porch drinking my coffee for a couple of hours, helping get my dad up and making him breakfast and then I've kinda just been seeing what the day brings. Some days have been good and then some have been not so good. While I was in the shower a word popped into my head, CONSISTENCY. This is the word for me today.
“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”Anthony Robbins
Consistency is not really the most enjoyable word when it comes to having to change some of our behaviors. But in the long run, ir is what will give you results. Sicking with something and doing it consistently (and not just for one week) will result in success.
A friend of mine told me once: "If you want something to become a habit, you need to first make it a priority."
I found some tips on "the Positivity Blog" by Henrik Edberg that I think would be helpful to anyone looking to work on being more consistent. He lists 7 powerful steps which are:
It's going to take hard work and commitment. Some days will seem easier than others. Don't let the enemy win. Obsticles will happen but just know that they show up to get you off track because you are on the right track. Make your dreams comes true.
If you've been having trouble being consistent, and really want to live that life you've always envisioned, all you have to do is blog everyday and the rest will be taken care of for you. You won't be sorry.
